The McAllen Femrite Business Park is important to the Madison Eastside Community for many reasons. 1st and foremost, McAllen was able to build Femrite II for Danisco, keeping Danisco from moving it's business outside the Madison area. Danisco had plans to move, but McAllen made an attractive offer to stay and built them an entire building to suit right across the street from their existing production plant. Danisco has been in the Madison area for over 100 years and McAllen signal handily kept them in the Madison market, therefore, keeping jobs in the Madison area. Also, the Femrite Business Park has introduced new businesses to the Madison area, such as AVI Midwest, therefore, creating more jobs in the Madison Eastside area. Every new client in the Femrite Business Park has a great story to tell, and this is only the beginning, a 1/2 mile down Femrite drive McAllen will be building the McAllen 120 Industrial Park, which will add anywhere from 4,000 to 1,000,000 square feet of build to suit/flex space to the Eastside of Madison.
